Using glycerin and Vitamin C obtained from a pharmacy, you can create your own concentrated serum to use at home. The effectiveness of it is not guaranteed, and is dependent on the quality and percentage concentration of vitamin C, but you have the benefit of making just what you need, and not having to worry if your vitamin C has become oxidized. Make sure to purchase L-Ascorbic Acid and not tablets or other vitamin C products. You’ll also need glycerine and water. Use 1 part ascorbic acid dissolved in 4 parts water, and then add 4 parts glycerine to the mix. Thus 1 teaspoon of L-Ascorbic Acid would use 4 teaspoons of glycerine and 4 teaspoons of water. Make sure you store it in an opaque container in the refrigerator to prevent oxidation.
